A bantamweight division attraction has been added to the April 18 UFC Fight Night card according to the Iridium Sports Agency as John Castaneda faces Mark Vologdin.
Castaneda (21-8-0) enters the contest riding a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to Daniel Marcos and Chris Gutierrez. Castaneda hasn’t picked up a victory in over two years, with his last win coming over Kyung Ho Kang at UFC 295. Castaneda has suffered eight losses as a professional MMA fighter and six of them came by way of decision.
Vologdin (12-4-1) is making his UFC debut in this encounter and does so having won seven of his last eight fights. Vologdin competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, dropping a bout to Juan Adrian Luna Martinetti. Vologdin has earned 12 wins as a professional MMA fighter and half of them came by way of KO/TKO.
