ALEX PEREIRA VACATES LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE, PROCHAZKA VS. ULBERG WILL FIGHT FOR VACANT TITLE IN UFC 327 MAIN EVENT

UFC CEO Dana White has announced on Instagran Live that Alex Pereira has vacated the UFC Light Heavyweight Title, but a new champion will be crowned in the UFC 327 main event as #2 Jiri Prochazka faces #3 Carlos Ulberg. 

Prochazka (32-5-1) enters the contest riding a two fight winning streak, defeating both Jamahal Hill and Khalil Rountree. Prochazka is a former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, defeating Glover Teixeira to win the gold at UFC 275. Prochazka has earned 32 wins as a professional MMA fighter and 28 of them have come by way of KO/TKO. 

Ulberg (13-1-0) is riding a nine fight winning streak entering this bout and he hasn’t been defeated in almost five years. Ulberg has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Kennedy Nzechukwu at UFC 259 in March of 2021. Ulberg has earned 13 wins as a professional MMA fighter and eight of them have come by KO/TKO. 

UFC 327 takes place on Saturday, April 11 from the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida with Jiri Prochazka and Carlos Ulberg headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on Paramount+.
