A welterweight division attraction will be headlining the upcoming UFC Fight Night Perth card as #1 Jack Della Maddalena faces #5 Carlos Prates.
The fight was announced during the UFC Mexico City broadcast.
Maddalena (18-3-0) is competing for the first time since losing the UFC Welterweight Title to Islam Makhachev at UFC 322. Maddalena is headlining his third straight UFC card, holding a 1-1-0 record in the previous main event fights. Maddalena has earned 18 wins as a professional MMA fighter and 12 of them came by way of KO/TKO.
Prates (23-7-0) enters the contest riding a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Leon Edwards and Geoff Neal. Prates hasn’t been beaten in almost a year, with his last loss coming to Ian Garry at UFC On ESPN 66. Prates also previously headlined a pair of UFC cards and he also holds a 1-1-0 record in those fights.
