A middleweight division attraction has been added to UFC 328 according to Marcel Dorff as Ateba Gautier faces Ozzy Diaz.
Gautier (10-1-0) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner, having defeated Jose Medina, Robert Valentin, Treston Vines, and Andrey Pulyaev. Gautier also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Yuro Naito by second round TKO. Gautier has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Glenn Williams at Budo Fighting Championships 50 in July of 2022.
Diaz (10-3-0) has won just one of two in the UFC, with that single win coming over Djorden Santos at UFC 313. Diaz also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, dropping a fight to Joe Pyfer by second round TKO. Diaz also competed twice in Bellator MMA, defeating the duo of Christopher Reyes and Andre Walker.
UFC 328 takes place on Saturday, May 9 from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey with no main event announced at this time. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on Paramount+.
