JANIKA ANTINMAA JOINS IMMAF ATHLETES COMMISSION

Janika Antinmaa Joins IMMAF Athletes Commission

The International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) is pleased to welcome Janika Antinmaa to its Athletes Commission, strengthening athlete representation with a highly experienced and respected figure from within the global IMMAF community.

As a dedicated contributor to the IMMAF platform since 2018, Antinmaa’s athlete achievements as a representative of Team Finland include gold at the 2018 European Championships, silver at the 2018 IMMAF World Championships, and bronze at the 2019 World Championships. Featuring in a total of 5 international IMMAF tournaments.

Following her last appearance as a competing athlete in 2022, Antinmaa transitioned to the Finnish MMA Federation coaching team and has played a key role in developing elite Finnish talent with success across youth, junior and senior levels, guiding standouts including Sani Brännfors and Isla Fono to IMMAF World Championship titles.

With eight years of continuous involvement in the IMMAF sphere, Antinmaa brings valuable insight and perspective to the Athletes Commission and joins fellow members Irman SmajicDaniyal Shamkhalov, and Forrest Griffin in being a voice and consultant for athlete interests and supporting athlete communication links.
