Richards says that he does not need to steal the title belt and he wants Bryan Danielson to come out to get the belt. Davey says that after tomorrow, he will be the champion.
Fallout 2006 Thoughts: The turnout for the show was good and I think the fact that FIP had not run in Brooksville for a while might have helped the turnout. This venue is about twenty minutes from the Inverness building so I would assume that some of the locals from Inverness attended this show as well as the regulars who will go to see FIP regardless of where the show is being held. The crowd was also a little different than most of the FIP shows....I thought there were definitive number one contenders for the tag titles when the Briscoes won their match last month against Colt Cabana and Davey Richards. Even if that was the case, they were able to get a number of tag matches on the show that meant something because they would be wrestling for the number one contender spot. I guess they could have hung the belts above the ring for a team to try to get them to have the right to be the number one contender....Right now there are three strong heel groups in the company with DP Associates, the Heartbreak Express, and the YRR. Each of them is in their separate feuds so it makes the entire card have important matches instead of two guys wrestling for no reason....If Val has the power to make a ‘number one contenders’ match, does that mean that anyone has the right to name themselves the number one contender?....
With the talent sharing with Ring of Honor, there have been a number of great wrestlers in the company in addition to the Florida talent on the shows. The addition of the Briscoes to the tag team division has made one of the strongest parts of the company and made it even more impressive....Matt Sydal and Shingo had a solid match and with both men returning to the company, it adds to the title picture.....One thing with the crowd was that they were chanting boring at points during a few of the matches, including the Roderick Strong/Davey Richards match. I guess there are some fans who are used to watching wrestling on television and need to see the wrestlers get in twenty high impact moves during a four minute match. When you attend an FIP show and you have talented wrestlers like Roderick Strong and Davey Richards and you are going to have a match that could go twenty minutes (or in the case of this show, a little more than twenty-two minutes). These men have the ability to tell a story during the match and a side head lock is not something that requires someone in the crowd to chant ‘boring’....I thought the Richards/Strong match was the top FIP match of the year and reminded me a lot of the Strong/Joe matches from January 2005....On top of wrestling twenty-two minutes, Richards and Strong wrestled another ten minutes against Bryan Danielson and Cyber Kong in the main event....In addition to the face/heel feuds, there are a number of feuds that appear to exist because of the desire to be champion....Full Impact Pro Wrestling returns to action on Friday, November 10, 2006 in Inverness, Florida and Saturday, November 11, 2006 in Bushnell, Florida.
