SIXTH ROUND OF DISMEMBERING ECW FEEDBACK

By PWInsiderXtra.com Readers on 12/4/2006 1:37 PM
OK, I think this might have been the worsT PPV since some of those TNA weekly ones and oh yeah since the first Smackdown Great American Bash (which I fell asleep on).  It ended at 10:16pm WTF!!!!!! I heard the hotline with Mike and Dave and I'm believing that they did cut the legs off CM Punk on purpose to say take that internet smart fans. I'm not even going to run down the matches cause basically they didn't mean anything. Hardys vs MNM was good but they're not even in ECW so it really don't help the brand.  Did Hardcore Holly get hurt?  It was so confusing - he was eliminated at first, but then it seemed he wasn't then he was. Just think they dethrone King Booker for Bautista a man that really not that good if you notice. Then on Raw they have John Cena as champ which I like Cena But lets face it Edge was the better champ he had the 80's Ric Flair thing going on the man you love to hate. Now we have Lashley as champ in ECW...OK, now I like Lashley to but the man can't talk and he's got the charisma of tree bark. I was hoping they would surprise us with CM Punk going over but The Game had to knock him down a peg or too.

There is no use for me saying I want a refund I know what I was getting into. I just watch my $40  fly out the window. In the immortal words of Ice Cube I just got screwed with no Vaseline....lol.

Since I'm in the UK, I didn't have to pay, so perhaps I'm not as critical, but I didn't think the show was all that bad. Granted, not the greatest, but certainly not the worst this year. Are people forgetting some of the Smackdown ppvs we had to suffer?

All the wrestlers worked hard. None of the matches stunk, we got some pretty ladies.

I was miffed at CM Punk getting pinned early, but I guess that's what happens when fans chant for you when DX is in the ring...

I imagine the bait and switch annoyed some people too, but given his heat backstage and the way he's been treated since, did anyone expect Sabu to be allowed to shine in the match?

The runtime. I don't recall the runtime being announced by WWE, I don't recall them promising 3 hours of action. Granted, we've come to expect 2h 40m+ ppvs for Raw and Smackdown, but keep in mind this, 2h 20m ppv is from a show that only has 1 hour. It can be argued that it's the equivalent of a 4h40m Raw/Smackdown PPV...

But like I said, I didn't have to spend $40 on this, so perhaps my opinion isn't coloured by that. For me, this wasn't a great PPV, but neither was it the worst this year.

I would like to thank are wonderful friends at Titan Towers.  You guys awesome for giving us fans a breakthrough cure for insomnia.  Last night's show which I also taped, will let me sleep till I die I feel - I am extremely lucky.  I did not pay for my treatment. In the States, I gather you paid about $40 for this medical breakthrough.

On a serious note. WWE-ECW will mercifully die in early 2007 due awful booking. CM Punk is the real top star yet, gets jobbed super quick to a guy who is in the doghouse in RVD.  I bet he wishes he had signed with TNA. So now I will now sleep in peace but i wonder if the McMahons will?
