READER FEEDBACK TO RAW AND ARMAGEDDON

Raw was a really good show this week. I enjoyed Raw a lot because they gave the matches a lot more time. The matches were longer then most weeks. You can see just by watching that they put some effort into the booking and even the creative. I was glad to see that they gave the Battle Royal a half hour. The only problem I got is any fan that has watched Royal Rumbles or Battle Royal over the years knows that the way Edge was knocked off the rope they have counted that in the past as a man being eliminated. Plus I was happy the title match was not the main event. I even liked the president skit because it was a little different from the skits they did in the past. Plus it was short not too long.

The women's match was good, Victoria has stepped her game up. The only problem is the WWE needs more women who can wrestle because Victoria and Mickie James are the only two who can wrestle. Victoria gives some stiff kicks to face two weeks in a row. The WWE should make Raw 3 hours every week if this is what it takes to give the talent more time in the ring. Even K. FED stuff was good even through I have no interest in seeing the match at least the WWE is playing it up and building it plus it was a short segment. WWE gets three stars for tonight's effort. The main event was good, it really put over Edge and Orton as team that can beat DX. The only thing is at the end the doctor kind of over played his part when he said check for a heart beat, no one buys those segments as being real. Did you see when the showed the one girl in crowd smiling? When WWE was trying to show fans looked worried.

I didn't buy the PPV live. I had had an unbelievably awesome day, from the perfect roast dinner I cooked (I almost always mess up something), to Man Utd losing (I hate them), to the most incredible concert I've ever been to (Tenacious D), I just didn't think the PPV could live up to anything else that day.

Then this morning I came on to PWInisderelite.com (yes, I'm an elite subscriber, which makes me better than the riffraff that come to these sites without paying ;-p) and see everyone raving about the ladder match. I should have known the PPV would be, like the rest of my day, awesome. (And yes, I take credit for it, if I wasn't having an awesome day, the PPV would have sucked, so you can all feel free to send me $40.)

So, for the first time ever, I actually bought a replay of a PPV. It was everything people were saying it was.

I remember the last inferno match where Kane had a somewhat unimpressive foot fire, so to see someone's back go up in flames was impressive and mucho kudos to MVP (who I think plays his part well).

The fourway ladder match was as awesome as people were making it out to be. The hardcore stunts were impressive, but I also want to praise regal for his facials and his fear of heights. I've watched the match twice in the past four hours, and both times he cracked me up.

The ladder stipulation was a nice surprise and a great way to reward the fans that were loyal/showed enough blind faith in WWE to buy the PPV. Could they have bumped the buyrate by announcing it in advance? Probably, but either this was the brain trust slipping up or it was a reward. I prefer the latter idea.

I agree with JBL, it was bad that the crowd didn't respond well to Helms v Yang, it's understandable, but that match was very good and deserved more than it got from the crowd.
