WWE TEASES, AUSTIN DRINKS BEER - READER FEEDBACK TO RAW

By PWInsiderXtra Readers on 3/6/2007 10:29 AM
It was another really good show. I wish they could do it 52 weeks a year instead of the just the two months leading up to WrestleMania! The women's title match was far more entertaining than anything I have seen from them in quite some time. The whole locker room scene was very well done and the "camera work" was outstanding. The Cena/HBK teases were great as well as the continued tension between Edge and Orton.

I found nothing bad about the show but I did find two things to be a little confusing. First is that I ask myself "is Jeff Hardy in the doghouse?" I completely understand Umaga being booked as a monster heading into WM 23 but why is Hardy once again being used as the fodder? The second confusing thing is why introduce Khali into a possible Flair/Carlito storyline solely for the purpose of enhancing his feud with Kane? Destroying Flair and Carlito did nothing for either feud but it did leave the door open for Orton to get a MITB spot. I guess creative has a plan?

I don't know if it was my local cable provider or a problem with USA, but the Cena/HBK opening segment cut to commercial and RAW returned to the air with the ring introduction of Michaels. I missed almost the entire opening segment.

WWE definitely teased a lot of things last night. They teased Bischoff and Foley as being the referee before bringing out Austin. They teased Austin talking but are making us wait for ECW for that. They teased Carlito and Flair as the final Money In The Bank participants. They teased Shawn Michaels turning on John Cena. They even teased us (again) with the idea we might see a naked Diva!

I guess WWE figured they didn't need to give us another Wrestlemania match or MITB participant, since we got to watch Steve Austin drink beer. Yep, I always go nuts for watching someone drink beer. How exciting.  Maybe next time he can actually say something, or do something... or anything.
