More Hasbro News & Views
Han and Luke in Stormtrooper disguise will definitely be released sometime down the line. We can expect an updated Kyle Katarn figure by late 2008. A post Return of the Jedi Luke Skywalker figure should appear in a comic two pack with Mara Jade. Another Mace Windu figure which will be able to sit in the Jedi Starfighter should be hitting the pegs soon. The wave 1 TAC Mace Windu does not sit well due to his plastic robe and can't be put into his Jedi Starfighter.
On the flip side, there are no plans for a new Probot (deluxe figure or in a Battle Pack). Also, do not look for any other figures from the Star Wars Holiday Special. Boba Fett will be the only one. While they will not appear in the TAC line, you can expect to see characters from deleted scenese such as Fixer, Cammie, and Tank down the line.
Hasbro is expecting the Ultimate Galactic Hunt figures to hit the pegs in July.
Hasbro should have a ton of announcements at Celebration IV. Expect more Galactic Heroes from Episode I such as Jar Jar Binks and Qui Gon Jinn to be announced there.
The 2007 San Diego Comic Con will also have its share of announcements. More internet exclusive multi-packs (i.e Republic Commando or the Imperial Briefing sets) should be announced at SDCC. Also look for Hasbro to display new vehicles in the $20 price range there.
The upcoming ToysRUs exclusive Bantha Battle Pack will have a running variation. The variation is a color change of all of the Tuskens to a darker reddish brown hue. Expect an all-new Salicious Crumb to come packaged with TAC #30 C3PO.
