Introduction:
This is going to be a very short and sweet edition of Tag Team Weekly. This was not the best of weeks for any tag team department. The best feud right now is Tomko and Styles vs. Team Pac-Man…What in the blue He** does this say about the state of wrestling today? Don’t get me wrong, Killings, Styles and Tomko are great but this feud just didn’t need to be involving Jones at all. The mixed tag match on Raw (You know, the RAW from Monday which was about the worst show I have seen on any WWE television in the last ten years of this business) was really good and the competitors should be commended for their efforts.
RAW
Cade and Murdoch
They did a fairly good promo with the Scotsman but what was up with Murdoch during that segment? Later they had a great match up until the point where the highlanders rode in. They are still the champs though and now may have new contenders. Also, at a Raw house show over the weekend they were able to stop a WWE title match and then get a loss from Hardy and Cena. Loss aside, they worked with two of the top performers in the company, and that is a nice rub. Thumbs up.
Kendrick and
They get another shot at Cade and Murdoch…YEAH! They get rocked by Rory and Robbie…NAY! Thumbs in the gutter.
The Highlanders
They got massive TV time, or at least it is massive compared to what most teams are getting in the single-star-express world of WWE. Thumbs up.
Smackdown
Deuce and Domino
They beat MVP and Hardy in a non-title bout. That should make them the number one contenders for the title. Thumbs up.
Matt Hardy and MVP
They lose to the 50’s duo but still are pushing their feud. Thumbs in the middle.
TNA
AJ Styles and Tomko
Styles loses a singles match to Killing’s after being distracted by Jones. However, it was a fantastic match that furthered their feud over the TNA tag title. Styles is just simply the best in-ring performer on any card in any federation in the world right now, hands down. Thumbs up.
Team Pac Man
This team is just deplorable. Jones has no talent in the ring or at least he is unable to show it due to his provisions with the NFL, and he is not great as a character or on the mic. DUMP HIM TNA!!! Killings is a fantastic worker doing everything he can to save this tragedy. Thumbs in the middle.
The Tag team Of The Week Award goes to Cade and Murdoch. And that is all I have to say for this rendition of Tag Team Weekly!
