AN OVERVIEW OF ALL THE LOCAL TALENT WWE USED AT TV THIS WEEKEND

WWE did a lot of tapping into the pool of indy talent, and ended up using wrestlers from three different promotions and from four different states (Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri), bringing in some pretty good names from all areas mentioned. These names include a co-holder of a regional Tag Team Championship, a regional singles Champion, a third-generation wrestler, and a current NWA Champion. The promotions represented were Central States Wrestling (based out of Lawrence, Kansas), Pro Wrestling Phoenix (based out of Council Bluffs, Iowa), and World League Wrestling (based out of Eldon, Missouri and run by Harley Race). Most of the wrestlers were used as the security guards who separated Triple H and Umaga during their brawl, but a few from WLW also appeared in dark matches.
Wrestlers at the event were current NWA Central States Champion Michael Strider (CSW and PWP), PWP Champion "Babyface" Tony Cortez (PWP), co-holder of the PWP Tag Team Championship Tyler Cook (CSW and PWP), Kraig Keesaman (CSW and WLW), "Superstar" Steve Fender (CSW and WLW), Hype Gotti (CSW and PWP), Joe Hennig (son of Curt and grandson of Larry, WLW), Daniel Cross (WLW), Darren Waid (WLW), and Derek McQuine (WLW).
