The Main Event will feature NWA World Heavyweight Champion "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce taking on a challenger from Ring of Honor who will be hand picked by legendary NWA manager and current ROH producer James E. NWA National Heavyweight Champ Chance Prophet will clash one more time with The Tokyo Monster Kahagas, except this time it will be in a Steel Cage and the only way to win is for one of the competitors to climb out of the cage. Not only will there be two NWA officials at ringside, but former three-time NWA World Tag Team Champions, the New Heavenly Bodies ("Vivacious" Vito DeNucci and "Casanova" Chris Nelson) will serve as special enforcement referees for the match. The current NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion, “The Modern Day Hero” Kevin Douglas, has been showing that he is capable of carrying on the tradition of the men before him. Having held the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Title since October 2011, Douglas has taken on all comers from all over the world. This weekend, Douglas will be heading to face off against one of NWA Top Rope’s top talent in their NWA Tennessee Junior Heavyweight Champion Derek Neal. Neal, who regained the championship on Saturday, January 28, 2012, from “Impressive” Anthony Wayne gave it a solid hour in an iron man match. The match, in this writer’s opinion, was one of the best of the year so far. Now that Neal has gold back in his grasp, he will be looking to add to his collection when “The Modern Day Hero” Kevin Douglas heads to Lebanon, Tennessee, this weekend at NWA Top Rope. When asked about coming to Lebanon this weekend, Douglas released the following: "To be a Champion is to accept all challenges that lie before you. The talent at NWA Top Rope is second to none, seen by my own eyes when some of their best came to NWA Houston. A Title Defense against an opponent the caliber of Derek Neal will present the most formidable of challenges. I look forward to Glorious Battle in Lebanon, Tennessee, Saturday Night February 4th!!!” This Saturday night, Douglas will be putting the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship up against Derek Neal. Will Defend Famous "10 Pounds Of Gold" At 2012 Fanfest!
NWA World Heavyweight champion "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce has signed a contract to face his number one contender at this year's fanfest weekend in Charlotte, with the most prestigious "10 Pounds of Gold" at stake.
A four-time champion, Pearce has successfully defended his title at our two previous reunions, beating Bryan Danielson in 2010 and TNA's Gunner (formerly Phill Shatter,) last year in Georgia.
